About us
Flight Gymnastics Academy is a not-for-profit CIC (Community Interest Company) which has the aim of providing a wide range of gymnastics activities for EVERYONE in the local community and beyond. We deliver a broad and diverse programme of activities including Play Gym open play sessions, PreSchool & General Gymnastics, Acrobatic Gymnastics, Trampoline, Tumbling & DMT and Adult Gymnastics & Trampoline fully embracing the philosophy of Gymnastics for All.
Affiliated to British Gymnastics and Gymnastics Ireland, Flight was established in 2011 and became a CIC in 2016. Originally based in Edmund Rice College the club was awarded funding from Sport NI, DAERA and Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council to open a full-time, dedicated facility for gymnastics in Mallusk – one of the largest in Northern Ireland. In March 2018 the club moved into its new home at Ballycraigy Business Park where it has now grown to over 1500 members.
The club provides both Recreational and Competitive opportunities specialising in Acrobatic Gymnastics and Trampoline with gymnasts regularly competing at Regional, National and on the World stage in international competitions.
We have a vibrant and enthusiastic staff who are all qualified through British Gymnastics and have Safeguarding Children & Young People Training and are Access NI checked.
